Welcome to the Vault RPG store!
This table-top Role Playing Game is designed to combine relatable near-future cyberpunk elements with the mysterious and heroic nature of fantasy. One night you might be working out the details of a bullet train heist and the next hunting down a cult of blood mages.
Players will find fun and flavorful ways to invest in their characters and improve them often. The system is focused on giving players agency both in and out of combat. Game Masters will have tools to keep the focus on their story, run gritty fast-paced fights, and present challenges that force players to think on their feet.

Digital Tier Reward Set-Backs
In an effort to ensure upfront and honest communication with our amazing backers we want to let you all know that our current estimates to complete the entire Vault Digital Rewards will put us beyond our original goal of today the 31st.
We unfortunately will need some extra time to complete the items in this reward’s tier. The work on the rulebook continues with editing well underway. We are finalizing the World Shaper Guide, cities lore, and assembling the final art pieces. The other assets that we are working through and playtesting to ensure a solid day 1 play experience are the enemy cards, digital tokens, and boss boards. At this time we estimate another 2-3 weeks will be needed to finish these rewards. We apologize for the delay from things within and beyond our control. But we promise these delays will serve to get you all the best product we can make!

On another front we are moving ahead with our sample box set from the manufacturer. We have these awesome pics to share with you all of the WIP rulebook. We are super excited to receive the full version and tease more goodies with you all. Here are some images from our MFG of the test copy of the book they are sending.

The end of our Backerkit fulfillment survey window is here. You should have received an email from Backerkit to the same email you use for Kickstarter. If you cannot find your emailed survey check out their site (https://vaultrpg.backerkit.com/) to fill it out.

The July(ish) Progress Update
A hearty and belated hello from the Team Rex Team! Here is our most recent update for Vault RPG! Our collective efforts have been aimed at more testing and getting our test copy of the game off to the manufacturer to get a sample made. We are stoked to get some physical assets in hand for evaluating and showing off.

We have begun editing on the main rulebook and we are excited to get this monster of a book (~300 pages) ready for you all very soon. It's one of our guiding philosophies that our game should be painstakingly polished, easy to pick-up, and easy to understand. We want to ensure the end product we have for you all will live up to those standards.

Beta Read Closes, Enhanced World Lore, World Shaper Guide, &Sample Version
Another month flies by and it's time for another Vault Update! Welcome Mercs and Happy Pride to all those that celebrate!
Backerkit Surveys
Don't forget to finalize your Backerkit surveys, there are just a few of our awesome backers out there who need to finish this up, and this is just your monthly reminder. Surveys will close in August and any backers who have not filled their surveys out by then will experience delays in receiving their goodies. There will be further opportunities to update your shipping info closer to our ship date, but it greatly helps this small creator to know how many we need to make.
Beta Read Closing
It's time to close up the Beta Read for comments so we can finalize our rules for final testing and editing. If you want to check out the system and give us your feedback please reach out to [email protected] to be set-up with a document to review. All comments must be in before June 29th to be reviewed.
More Lore Please!
We heard throughout the campaign and in our various other channels that folks were really interested in the World of Vault. We have decided to include a whole extra chapter dedicated to the timeline of our world and some lore on the prominent Mega-Cities that dot the world. We are even including optional City-Sec rules for a WS to use depending on which city you are in that can help give some mechanical flavor to each metropolis.
World Shaper Guide
Our final section to complete (as it should be) is the World Shaper Guide. We are working to pack this section with useful info and recommendations for World Shapers new and... experienced. Ideas for making the story come to life, tie missions together, making settings feel lived in, and of course how to run all of the fantastic enemies that one could dream up. If there are topics you'd love to see in the guide that you think publishers miss, comment them below!
Sample Version
So as some of you may know before fully going to manufacturing a sample copy is made to ensure that the printer and the files are formatted right and that there are fewer surprises later on. We are nearly done with all of the game's assets that are needed for this trial run. It is essential that this step is done to have a higher quality product later on. We'll continue working tirelessly this next month with the manufacturer to get this completed and hopefully get to preview this for you all soon.

Hello, Mercs, and welcome to the May Vault Update! Our team is hard at work integrating the beta reader comments, developing the main vault rulebook, getting our production quotes and much more!
Beta Read Developments
We had a lot of great folks sign-up to be a part of our beta reader group and we are taking every suggestion into account. If you signed-up and have not seen your copy of the Vault book to read through and leave comments please message us on our discord. If you have not been able to make comments, good news! There is time to get us your feedback. Please make your comments in your shared document and we will review them.
Production Quotes
We are finalizing our production quotes with the manufacturers that we have been in contact with. We’ll be ordering our physical samples soon and we are really looking forward to showing them off when they arrive.
Rulebook Layout
We have been hard at work putting together the main rulebook and world shaper guide these last weeks. We are focused on three goals when designing our rulebooks and game materials, and we hope our passion and care shows in our work.
#1 Legibility: This rulebook should be easy to read and understand, it should be as accessible as we can make it.
#2 Art forward: We love to use art to help us tell the stories of Vault. The right art and graphics help convey the rules just as much as the words on the page do.
#3 Original: The Vault Rulebook should be unique and have an amazing place on your game table and your bookshelf. It should be something you want to flip through and enjoy reading. We want Vault to leave an impression and be THE game you and your friends want to pick up and play.

You all should have received an Email from Backerkit inviting you to complete a survey. These surveys collect your shipping information, allow you to alter your order, and add any add-ons you want. If you have not received a survey, or lost yours, please reach out to BackerKit support or the Team Rex Games team before August to prevent any issues with delivery of your pledge.
NOTE: In order to receive your rewards, you must fill out the Backerkit survey.
For folks who have already pre-ordered (late pledged), you do not need to fill out another survey nor will you receive one. When you preorder, you filled out the survey at the same time. So you’re all set!
If you didn’t get everything you were looking for in your Pledge, or if you have a friend that is interested in Vault the preorder store is open and you can still make contributions to Vault there!

Hello, Mercs, and welcome to the April vault Update! We are cranking away at the Vault book and furiously completing playtesting. We’ve already received some fantastic feedback from you all and were working to incorporate those comments while staying on our timeline. “Breathtaking” work.
Backerkit Updates
You will soon be receiving an Email from Backerkit inviting you to complete a survey. These surveys collect your shipping information, allow you to alter your order, and add any add-ons you want.
NOTE: In order to receive your rewards, you must fill out the Backerkit survey.
Backerkit surveys will be sent to everyone via the email address used on their Kickstarter account. You should see yours over the next week or more. These surveys will be sent in waves, so don’t panic if you don’t get it right away. We’ve just begun our smoke test with a small number of backers before it goes out to everyone. So if you already have yours and see any issues let us know so we can help you and those that follow.

If your pledge failed, you will still receive an invitation. You can use the survey to pay for your failed pledge if you still want to pledge to the project!

Backerkit FAQ
Here are some answers to some of the most common Backerkit questions! Hopefully, these help you! But if you have a question you don’t find here, give us a shout via email!
When will Backerkit close?
The pledge manager will be open until late November! At that point, we won’t be accepting any more late pledges. You will still be able to fill out your survey after November, but we won’t be able to guarantee on-time delivery for your rewards.
Why can’t I edit my order or pledge?
Once you complete the survey, Backerkit locks it and charges you. To make changes, you’ll need to contact BackerKit support.
Can I get a refund?
Yes! Email us at [email protected]. We will review each request on a case by case basis. There will be a cut-off for refunds of any kind as the survey date comes up so please let us know earlier rather than later.
How can I change my shipping address?
You can change your shipping information any time by logging into Backerkit and updating it there! You DO NOT need to contact us to make address changes.
I have an Apple ID log in on Kickstarter so I haven’t gotten my survey. What do I do?
Please email us with your backer number and what email address you want us to use instead and we’ll manually change it for you!
